If I hear that phrase one more time! My girls, especially Killi, have decided to throw this one around lately. Are they kidding? First, they have no fewer than a million toys which include but are not limited to a Wii, a DS, dolls, legos, crafts, books. Outside they have a swing set, bikes, a wagon, bats and balls and for friends they have each other! They have a tv with a DVD player and 100's of channels. But none of this is good enough, they want me to entertain them; but not really because when I do they whine and cry about that too!
Maybe it is the age. Maybe they are just spoiled(wait, they are:). Declan never did this, well not for this long anyway:) The thing is, when they are given something to do the bitch about that too! What do they want from me?
And BTW- Maggie went back to the bottle 2 days after she quit:(

Moving Along
We have a lot going on these days and more ahead. Tonight I booked my mom a ticket to come up for Maggie and My's birthdays. She is actually coming up so that she can help with the kids while Ben and I take Killi to see a doctor in Richmond and also to help while I recover from having my gall bladder removed. I also had to made arrangements with my in-laws to come down the day before my surgery to help(that meant selling my soul to the devil, I am afraid it is going to cost me an extra week at the shore this summer).
Now, with all we had going on, I have decided to throw surgery in too. With all the testing and appointments for Killi, a very over-do visit from my brother and his family, my class ending, soccer starting, a monsters birthday, we have this surgery! Oh no, I just got stressed about the monsters birthday! Will she want a party? I need to make cookies for school! Stress!!!! Who will take pictures and blog her birthday blog if I am not better? It is a good thing I have friends!
Add in to this that my loving husband is NEVER home! Right now, 8:30pm, he isn't here- he was going to pick up dinner! Friends, that is why I sold my soul to the devil, I need someone here to help me with the kids even if it is the in-laws:)
That is life here in a nutshell.

What Happened?
WOW! Did I get payback for writing that I had done very little today- Minutes after I posted this afternoon, Maggie decided to transform into the devil(horns and all:) Screaming and yelling, it was not good. I fought to get her out the door and then again at the Food Store! If I had taken a shower and been clean, I would have laid down the law at the store, but I was gross and trying not to draw attention to us. Off to school we went, where she continued to be fresh and nasty to me, and as soon as she saw her brother and sister, she started fighting with them! The girls walked down the hall fighting, pushing and screaming; once they even knocked into another little girl. By the time we got to the car I was certain the afternoon was not going to be good.
It was almost 5 when we walked in the door and Ben had just informed me he was not leaving work anytime soon, that meant that I was going to have to do my own grilling. I did, and we had steak, potatoes and salad; well I should say, that is what I made for dinner. Half way though dinner, I picked Maggie up and threw her out of the kitchen. And it never got better. By 6:40 she was on her way kicking and hitting, off to bed!!!!!!! I have to say, I was not sorry to see her go.
Now, of course, she is asleep in her bed looking like a beautiful little angel:)
I hope tomorrow is a better day and I will never again count my days as "off" until the next morning comes:)

I Took a Day Off....Mostly
I have had a wonderful day doing nothing! I have a little guilt over pushing everything off, but not enough to get me to do anything:) I kept Maggie home with me today, she has been really tired and/or sick so I thought a day off would do her good. And, it might be doing her good, but I could have enjoyed my morning more without her.
Declan and Killi have Running Club after school so it will be an extra hour that I need to entertain the littlest monster! I guess I could have showered and run to the food store or pick up records at the doctor, but instead I vegged. I will hopefully get dinner on the table tonight and get everyone to bed early, the kids had a late night with the Kelley Kids.
I saw on tv(but never believe)that it is supposed to warm up tomorrow. Hopefully we'll make it to the park!

Are We Really Done With Babies?
I am so excited to announce that my baby, who is not a baby at all anymore, mailed all of her bottles to her baby cousin today! At WalMart today, she asked if she could get-rid of her bottles and replace it with a sippy cup! I was very happy that she was ready to do it! I know it will make many of her family members and friends happy to here! She will now spend the day tomorrow collecting all of the "goodies" she has been promised by all those "bottle haters" in her life!
***************************************************************************************
For the record I would like to say that I, the child's mother, have never pushed her to ditch the bottle. We were assured by the dentist several times that her teeth are fine(as she drinks mostly water) and that letting her keep if indefinitely would not harm her teeth. unfortunately, that is not one of my strong points in parenting, I am inclined to sit back and let those things play-out on their own, i.e. co-sleeping, pacifiers, bottles, blankets. I feel that so much of their lives are controlled that those are a few in which they can control. I am not saying my way is right, just that I do it like that-
So, Maggie's milestone of "dropping the bottle" is a huge one for her!!! Way To Go Maggie!!!

Killi!!!!
I have shared with you all the struggles we have been facing with Killi. Well, now I would like to share with you how tonight, she read THREE Dick and Jane stories!!! She was so proud of herself I was so happy for her.
After I put her to bed, she laid there just waiting to hear her dad walk in so that she could run out and read to him! And the smile on her face was one I will never forget! Tonight was one of the BEST nights I ever had as a parent!
Thank You Killi For Working So Hard!!!
