To My Sister

Today is my perfect,little sister's birthday. We have always had a close and wonderful relationship:) No fighting, pulling hair or kicking each other. We never resorted to tape down the middle of our shared bedroom and I certainly never left her at the mall:) The best thing about my sister is that she always knew her place growing up. She always let me achieve milestones first such as, riding a bike:)


HAHA!!! So maybe things weren't always perfect, but she is my best friend!!!

Alone...

Life as a mom with three little monsters is not always easy. There are some days where a 15 minute break is unheard of, where running from place to place seems endless, and when stopping to pee seems like a luxury:) But what makes those days a little easier, is when a monster says,"Thanks Mom! You are the best mom ever!" That makes it good!

Today was my first weekday alone since surgery. I was very spoiled having my mother here for an entire week to play the role of me while I recovered. The kids, not so spoiled by Grammy playing MOM for the week, she is MUCH more strict than I am:) But for me it was heaven! My house was cleaned everyday. Laundry done. Dinner made and cleaned up. Kids bathed and put to bed. I only had to do what I wanted to do for an entire week!

Back to reality! This morning I had to set my alarm, make the beds, get kids dressed, make breakfast all alone! I am happy to report that I am keeping up with all my mother started! The house is still clean and the laundry is all still done and put away, dishes too:) I am even being brave enough to invite friends over on Friday, thinking I can keep the house clean that long:) We'll see what happens-

Birthday Dinner!

Tonight was supposed-to-be my birthday dinner. We were going to go to the Japanese Steak House, mostly because the kids love it and I like it well enough. Well, the kids manged to be as awful as they could be this afternoon and after threatening them a few times that I was going to leave them home with a babysitter, I really did!!! I was very lucky that my AWESOME sitter was available at a moment's notice, she came over and off I went with my husband and mother.

I wonder if the kids will now BELIEVE me when I warn them NOT to do something!

Lots Happenin'

First, tomorrow starts a 10 day run of grandparents!!!! What could be better than that! They will be here to help take care of the kids, but also to celebrate the littlest monsters 4th birthday on Sunday!!!

Next week the madness continues with a trip to Richmond on Monday to see the last doctor we will see about Killi.

Soccer starts Monday too! And games next Saturday!

Then on the 25th, Declan makes his big acting debut!

What We've Been Doing

This weekend my brother and his gang came to town and this is what we did:






We had a great time. But boy having company is exhausting!

Why?

So the husband told the monsters that they could sleep in the playroom tonight since there is no school tomorrow! That's great except that it is 11pm, husband is in bed and the monsters are still up!

Also, our Directv is not working because of the snow! Husband did clean off the dish enough to get one tv working, but only one! It is going to be a long snow day!
