This past weekend, my brother and his crew came to town and we found somethings to do other than sit around the house and talk:) Friday night we headed downtown to see the Nationals play. They lost, they do that a lot:) We enjoyed ourselves despite the terrible play by the Nationals! We did get a an extra treat at the game, Friday Night is Firework Night at the stadium and they were great and with BRUCE playing in the back round, they were near perfect! As a Jersey Girl, fireworks and Bruce on a summer night is good stuff!
Here we are with Teddy Roosevelt, he races in the Presidents Race during the game:)
Then on Saturday we headed out to Antietam Battlefield! At first my excitement was really not there for this adventure and the traffic did not help, but in the end I/we had lots of fun!

Hiding Out...
I have been hiding out from blogger lately:) Really, I am just having trouble making time! I find that my summer days are filled more than my "school days" are. I always wonder how this can be. In reality I know how; I am having to engage and entertain the monsters all day long! While I don't mind this and LOVE not having to be on much of a schedule, it makes for a some long days. I let the kids stay up late and sleep in, but then I have trouble getting errands done, but on the flip side of that, summer break is only 2+ months long and isn't nice for the kids to dictate their schedule some:)
We have been spending lots of time at the pool and all three monsters are really swimming and well at that:) Declan and Killi can swim strokes and dive in the 12 foot pool to retrieve diving sticks! Maggie can jump in and swim about half the length of the pool before getting tired! I am really happy for them, they are all so proud of themselves.
They have also gotten to enjoy playing with their friends with no rushing for homework or activities. We might even try some sleepovers before the end of the summer:) We have also had a few friends have babies in recent weeks and been lucky enough to visit with the new additions! The girls are happy to look, but move on quickly, Declan however keeps asking for a brother!lol! NEVER!
Tomorrow night we are headed to the Nat's game(where chances are they will loose:) but there are fireworks after the game and Billy, Kelly and Angie are here to enjoy it with us...no one else visits! Maybe I can get some pictures up of that!
